- Holding my tongue at work.
- I don't have to hold my tongue at work anymore -- I got a new job that makes me happy. I still get to be a lawyer and don't hate my work-life anymore!
- Going to church more often
- Needs work. I try to keep up with my spiritual life outside of church but I should make more of an effort this year.
- Reading more
- As evidenced by my book-blogging, I've finally started to find the work/life balance that allows me to get lots more reading in. I love this new development.
- Doing more with my leisure time.
- I've been pretty good about this, as well.
- My husband and I have undertaken several home improvement projects, thrown lots of parties/get-togethers and have traveled as much as possible.
- I could use improvement in adding regular work-outs to the mix.
- Eliminating Sweet n Low from my diet -- random.
- But yes, I have stopped using SNL and now use Splenda. My next goal is to eliminate all dependency upon artificial sweeteners.
- Staying in touch with friends.
- We've had several visitors over the past year -- at least 15 of our friends have spent weekends with us this year. I hope for even more visitors in the coming year, as we love to entertain and show off our dear adopted home city, Chicago.
So, what does that leave for the new year?
- More running.
- Less sugar.
- More reading & learning.
- Less self-absorption.
- More time with friends and family.
- Less spending (although, we already do a very good job of that, in my opinion).
- More blogging & adventures!
