Catybug Designs: Post-Holiday Shopping Fun

Happy Tuesday - it is absolute MURDER to go back to work knowing that the holidays are over and four-day-weeks are going to be non-existent until Memorial Day weekend.  However, I try to make the winter doldrums pass by finding events, books and other things to anticipate -- how very Pollyanna of me, right?  (If you don't get the reference, you should see the movie. One of the last truly great children's movies.)

So far, I'm looking forward to a birthday party, a BYOB painting class with one of my favorites and reading some of my new books from the library.  I've got a few self-improvement projects in the works, as well.

Another fun thing about the end of the holidays, is the great January sales.  While the scale has certainly tipped toward favoring saving rather than spending over the past few years, I've been known to enjoy a little shopping for sport every now and then.  This brings me to my most recent discovery:

One of my sorority sisters, Caitlin, has an Etsy shop which you can find HERE

My personal favorite: these Phoenix earrings.  Wood Phoenix Earrings in red  They have special meaning for us, as they are one of our sorority's symbols.  Here is her very apt description: "The Phoenix bird symbolizes rebirth. He always rises from his own ashes. He shows that no matter how bad your day was, or how down you feel, you can always pick yourself back up, dust off the ashes, and start again."

Love it - yay, Caitlin!
